About the projekt

The Invasion of Europe 2006 - a presentation of Czech theatre - continues in the series of previously successful showcases organized by the Theatre Institute: the Canadian Season in Prague/Czech Season in Canada (2002 - 2003) and Teatro.cz - A Season of Czech Theatre in Latin America (2005).

The primary goal of the Invasion of Europe 2006 is to introduce and present contemporary Czech theatre and dance art to the European public and increase the awareness of the prestige of the Czech culture abroad.

The project arose in cooperation with the Czech Centres in Europe, various prominent European cultural organizations and institutions, and renowned European theatre festivals.

The Invasion of Europe 2006 is organized by the Theatre Institute in Prague with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the City of Prague, and the Czech Centres.
