Background & Mission

Divadlo Miloco is a theatre ensemble based in Prague, Czech Republic, dedicated to creating new and challenging physical theatre. Since 1998, Divadlo Miloco has focused on building a dynamic company of international theatre artists. Our current ensemble consists of artists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bosnia, Ireland, Belgium, the United States and Canada.

Divadlo Miloco’s dramaturgical program reflects the background and skills of its members and focuses on devising original work. Our highly energetic performances, combining clown, live music, song, movement and improvisation, are created through an evolving rehearsal process requiring an ensemble of actors working together over an extended period. The challenge of creating theatre that is dynamic in form and relevant in content is met through the constant exploration of working methods and theatrical styles.

Through workshops both in our home city of Prague and abroad, and through our Fulcrum Festival of Physical Theatre we strive to foster the sharing and exchange of culture and working methods.
