Drama Revue

The drama quarterly magazine founded in 1989 by the group of theatre historians, theoreticians and critics of middle generation by the Institute od Czech Theatre of Czech Academy of Science, since 1993 by Drama Institute (the editor-in-chief Vladimír Just, editor Štěpán Otčenášek). It deals with the history of theatre culture in our region (not only theatre in Czech language) in the form of studies, analyses and essays in its whole variety of historical and genre aspects, since early Middle Ages till nowadays. It constantly deals with theoretical and encyclopedic projects (Encyclopedia of Czech Theatres, The Basic Terms of Theatre etc.), regularly publishes the critical reflexion of Czech and foreign dramatic literature and documentation of the developement of theatre in our territory (various dramatic texts not published till these days, the files of censorship, correspondence, the lists of published literary works etc.)
