Německý festival Euro-scene Leipcig hledá nejlepší sólovou choreografii. Vítěz získá 5000 EUR

Festival současného evropského divadla Euro-scene v Leipzigu vyhlašuje soutěž o nejlepší sólovou choreografii v Německu. Tanečník bude mít k dispozici pět minut a scénu velkou 7 metrů čtverečních. Do klání se mohou přihlásit jak profesionální, tak amatérští tanečníci z Evropy. Deadline podání přihlášek je 30. září 2005, soutěž začíná 15. října a pokračuje v listopadu. Invitation to competition »Das beste deutsche Tanzsolo« (»Best German Dance Solo«) based on the conception of Alain Platel, Ghent

The euro-scene Leipzig for the 7th time invites to the competition »Das beste deutsche Tanzsolo« (»Best German Dance Solo«). We would like to ask you to submit your application and/or to make our invitation public and to forward it to prospective dancers.

The euro-scene Leipzig, Festival of Contemporary European Theatre, will take place from November 1-6, 2005 for the 15th time. Under the motto »Wahlverwandtschaften« (»Elective Affinities«) 14 guest productions from 12 countries with about 25 performances have been planned. First information about the festival programme you will receive in our Newsletter #01 - 2005 at the end of June.

A solo of 5 minutes length, danced on a round table of 7 m diameter.

Surrounded by 360 degrees of audience and the 5 jury-members. Anyone may apply. The boundaries between professionals and amateurs are put aside. Sought-after are self-reliance, creativity, charisma, and individuality, independent of training, style, age or nationality. A brief curriculum vitae and description of the solo should be sent to the euro-scene Leipzig by September 30, 2005.

Dates:
Internal preselection: October 15-16, and 22-23, 2005
1st public rounds: November 4 and 5, 2005
2nd public round and award ceremony: November 6, 2005

Prizes:
For the first time the three winners, chosen by a jury consisting of 5 members, will be awarded a prize money between 5,000.00 EUR and 3,000.00 EUR as partial financing of a new project. Additionally, there will be a prize of the audience.
