Výzva k účasti na festivalu
Mezinárodní festival OFF LIMITS vyzývá tanečníky, choreografy jakož i další umělce k účasti. Umělci by měli představit svůj koncept pro krátký kus na téma Dědictví. Vybrané kusy budou prezentovány v Dortmundu v září 2005. Do festivalu je možné přihlásit též už hotové projekty adaptované v duchu site specific na téma a místa konání festivalu. Uzávěrka přihlášek je 1. února 2005 (datum doručení).

Call for artists
The international Festival off limits and artscenico are calling for dancers and choreographs as well as other artists who are interested in developing short pieces for September 2005. The theme is “Legacies”. The pieces will be presented site specifically at the festival in Dortmund. It will be possible also to present existing productions which can be adapted to the site and the theme.
Please send your application including vita and your idea via post or e-mail until February 1st 2005 the latest.

OFF LIMITS – INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL AND SYMPOSIUM 2005
Theme: Legacies
off limits will take place in the beginning of September 2005.
The project will be the main part of off limits, a production which especially is developed for this event.
The theme „legacies“ will be free for interpretation for all partners. We are especially looking for short pieces of work
Some key-words and notes: Age, outlooks, look-backs, memories (with a future view),wishes, hopes, resignation, drive, luck, disaster, optimism, pessimism, system of values. Which values do things still have, the home, the social structures? What will I leave behind? What do I want to remain alive? How will society look? These are only a few notes which can be used as headlines so far.
Dancers, choreographers, performers and other artists should sent ideas and concepts and performance dates or plans. Dancers, actors, laymen, musicians, film makers and authors can be involved.
All pieces should be short. They will be combined for a parcours at a special site. Possible forms: guided tours, reconnaissance expeditions, private homes, yards, backyards, farms, parks, houses, halls, museums etc. can be spaces used.
“Legacies” naturally means more than just objects. (Adapted) stories, meanings, outlooks from citizens could also be the basis for an artistic view and creation. Different media can be used. You can also see the legacy as a given one, for example buildings. You can use those and add constellations using this background (theatrical operations)
After the site-specific project has been finished, there will be an unique stage programme based on those different short situations and some selected items of those projects and materials. It will be a completely new reception of the work and a new artistic attempt towards the theme.This stage version could be shown at the different venues and cities of the co-producers.
